FIRE ON FARM
SHE'D, MILKING PLANT AND HAY DESTROYED. Electric Telegraph—Press Association DANNEVIRKE, February 13. Fire last night destroyed a large shed and hay loft on Mr R,. W. S. Gray’s farm at Te Rehunga, and also destroyed the cowbails, milking plant, and 30 tons of pressed hay. The outbreak was noticed at 6.30 p.m. by Mr Gray, when returning from putting his cows out. A large number of people collected and formed a bucket brigade, but were unable to save anything. A change of wind blew the flames into a belt of trees and toward the house, these being saved only by the timely arrival of the Dannevirke Fire Brigade.
