SECOND-HAND NOVELS
FOR PAHIATUA PUBLIC LIBRARY. The Town Clerk reported that the Chief Librarian, Wellington, had written saying that they had 100 books too good to be thrown out, and offering these to the Library at a very moderate figure. After consultation with the Library Committee. it had been thought advisable to get 50 as a trial. These had been received yesterday and were of excellent quality. An option was held on the other 50. On the motion of Cr. Watts, seconded by Cr. Greaves, it was decided to give authority for the whole of the 100 books.
