FIRE IN LIME WORKS
PART OF PLANT DESTROYED. Electric Telegraph—Press Association OAMARU, February 10. A fire occurred late last night at. the Kakanui Works of McDonald’s Oamaru L» : nu‘ Company and destroyed part of the buildings and plant. Insurances with the North British Office total over £OOOO. The loss 'was inevitable but the company saved the ossenlial plant to maintain a regular output of lime for freezing woiks and builders but the output of land lime will, be temporarily dislocated.
