A competition was held, jumbled flowering shrubs for trophies kindly donated 1»\ Mrs I. Alackay and Aliss J. Brown, which, was won by Aliss N. Toogoinl and Aliss P. Lynch, equal. Aliss Pattison, of Kuim-ma. genetously presented the members with a delightful decorated, basket of apples and sweets, and, these were greatly appreciated during the course of tin* meeting. A. hearty vote of thanks "was accorded her. An exquisite table centre iu hairpin work which brought in a handsome reward, was given by Alargaret Craig to the institute and was won by Miss Jessie Bridges. Thanks were also extended to Aliss Craig. A number of visitors were present from the Ngawapurua Women’s Institute, and Mrs Coulter demonstrated novelties, of which she had a wonderful array of useful as well as dainty work. Aliss AI Cranfield projtosed a hearty vote of thanks to Airs Coulter for her valuable display. The hostesses. Air- C. Alackie and Aliss Elaine Waroham, served a very dainty afternoon tea.
