HOCKEY RESULTS
KIWI DEFEATED BY WOODVILLE Playing at Pahiatua on Saturday, ;fche Woodville A hockey team defeated Kiwi B at Pahiatua by eight goals to one. The ground was wet and very clow, and further rain fell during the match. No score was made for about twenty minutes, and at half-time the itally was 4-nil. Quickening a little in the second spell, play was more lively. The scorers for Woodville were €. Urine (3), J Beale (3), E. Beale <2). Woodville B w’ere d feated by Hast‘wells, at Hastwells, by seven goals to one, though the game was not as uneven as the score seems to indicate. In the first half the Woodville boys field their ground well for a halftime score of 3—l, R. Vowel] being the scorer for Woodville. The old fault of flagging spoilt the second half, though B. Seeker (forward) made valiant efforts. Hastwells 7 scorers were M Ngatuere (5) and J. Dick (2).
