It was decided to hold invitation social concerts during the year to augment the funds towards the purchase of a n \v piano. As a result of concerts given last year, a sum of do 10s is already held for the purchase of a piano for the joint use of the Women’s Institute and the Musical Club and it is hoped that this year, in conjunction with the Women's Institute, the club will be able to increase the fund to an amount sufficient to complete the purchase. It was decided that the club resume its weekly practices on Monday nights, commencing on Monday, June 27th, and thereafter every Monday except the first Monday in each month. The question as to whether a concert will be held this season or not, and, in fact, the whole future of the club, will depend on the enthusiasm displayed by the attendance of members in the first three practice nights. If the attendances at these practices are satisfactory, the committee will go ahead and draw ;np the programme for the season but unless there is sufficient enthusiasm shown the question of going into recess for the season may have to be further considered. It therefore behoves all members to attend the three opening practices as above.
