CAR OUT OF CONTROL
ACCIDENT AT DANNEVIRKE. Electric Telegraph—Press Association DANNEVIRKE, This Day. When passing through High Street yesterday morning a coupe car the driver of which was Mr C. R. Tanser chief inspector for Ham il tons and Australia N.Z. Ltd., of Wellington, got out of control- opposite the* PostOffice and went into a skid and crashed sideways into a roadster ear the property of Mr C McDonald Fergus, of Manaia. the occupants of which were waiting’for relatives from Hastings to proceed to a fum ral in Taranaki, llu* roadster had a back wheels demolished but tin* vehicle was otlieiwise undamaged. Mrs Fergus who was sitting in the car received body abrasions but is not serious. Mr Tan sen’s car also broke a wooden verandah post, struck another parked car and wound up facing in the opposite direction from whicn it was going. The body-work of the* right side was greatly damaged. The road surface, was wet at the time.
