BODY RECOVERED.
BELOW SUMNER CLIFFS. CHRISTCHURCH, August 26. After a hazardous descent with the aid of ropes and a winch by experienced climbers, a party of police today recovered the body of a woman, which lias been lying on the rocks near Sumner since Saturday, from the foot of a 300 ft. cliff. The body is believed to be that of Mrs Nicholas, a middle-aged woman, Christchurch, who was reported missing on Saturday. It was found impossible to reach the body from the sea.
