COASTAL VESSEL AFIRE.
MAKING HASTE FOR NAPIER Electric Telegraph—Press Association NAPIER. This Day. The Union boat Wingatui is reported on fire, nine hours steam from Napier. The vessel is being pressed to the utmost in order to secure assistance of fire fighting appliances. It is believed that the outbreak is in No. 3 hold where the general cargo is on fire. The vessel is due in Napier about eight to-niglit.
