CATTLE JUMP OFF BRIDGE.
Electric Telegraph—Press Association WAIPUKURAU, Sept 28. When halfway across the Waipawa traffic bridge on Sunday afternoon a mob of about 40 cattle stampede'll wheu cars approached both l ends of the bridge, and they crashed through the bridge rails to the river-bed below. Seven were killed outright and 12 others were so badly injured that their destruction was necessary. The cattle were the property -if Mr L. Harris, of Hawke's Bay.
