A VISITOR’S PRAISE.
The well-kept appearance of New Zealand farms and their buildings has greatly impressed the Rt. Hon. R. B. Bennett, lately Prime Minister of Canada, who has just completed a tour of the South Island. “I have been struck by the extent to which people in Now Zealand use paint and keep their places bright and clean,” he said in Christchurch. “It makes a very good impression on the passer-by.” Mr Bennett also admired the co-operative freezing works he saw. They gave fine evidence of the spirit of coo iteration amofig the farmers in preparing and marketing their produce. In this New Zealand has achieved a greater development than any other part of the British Dominions.
