LONDON STREETS FLOODED.
RESULT OF BURST WATER MAIN.

Remarkable scenes followed the bursting of a water main in the centre iyondon to-day. Neighbouring stree*ts were soon several feet deep with a swirling tide which swept into shops, flooded cellars and brought traffic to a standstill. The tramway tunnel from K i ngsway to the Embankment was flooded and dislocation of the tramway service resulted over a considerable area.
