BOXING NOTES.
• (By “Straight Left.”) The bookings for 'the Ray NicolHarold Reeve professional contest for the light-heavyweight championship of New Zealand have exceeded all anticipations and are lkr and away the largest in the history ol the Pahiatua Boxing Association. Bookings have come to hand from iar and neai and an immense concourse of people will he assembled iii the Drill Hall on the eventful night. The great difficulty the officials of the Association will have to contend with is in the accommodation of the large crowd. The writer of these notes is absolutely certain that before the first clash'takes place there will not In* a vacant seat m the building So those who are desirous of seeing the big combat are advised to come early to avoid disappointment. Final ' arrangements for the contest are to lie made this evening. A feature of the fight is the very large number of boxing : from outside districts who applied for reserved seats. No fewer than six newspapers will be represented at the fight.
