Mrs J. D. O. Crewe, of Wakeman Street, returned yesterday from Auckland where site lmd been spending a holiday for the past three weeks.

Mr Colin Arthur Macdonald, subeditor of the Marlborough Express, died yesterday afternoon after a short illness. Ho was horn at Dunedin 47 years ago and was formerly on the staff of the Otago Daily Times and the Pahiatua Herald. He joined the Express: in 1922 a s chief reporter, and was sub-editor from 1933.
