PAHIATUA LAWN TENNIS.
FIX TUR ES ARR ANG EI). The Pahiatua Lawn Tennis club will hold its first Yankee tournament on its new courts in Cambridge Street at the end of next wek. The club secretary has sent out invitations to the other clubs in the district. Members are requested to note the following in connection with the tournament: (i) Players must be on the grounds at 10 a.in., when partners will be arranged. (2) Ihe competition will be; run under sealed handicaps. (3) As lunch and afternoon tea will have; to he provided, ladies are requested to bring a plate—the bigger the better. In connection with the 4 open competition for B grade players which commences over the week-end, and the first, second and third rounds of the competition the; winners will be; those players first to reach 21 points; in the semi-finals and finals, the best out of three sets.
