Since King Edward’s accession the Lord Chamberlain’s office has received many inquiries irom theatricid agents wishing to negotiate plays in which Queen Victoria is the heroine, but the ban on the public representation remains rigid. Thirteen plays dealing with this subject by Laurence Housman await permission for English production, though the* latest, 'Victoria Regina,'' is now success!ullv placing in New York.
