The Australian and New Zealand ladies’ swimming records for 440 yards free-style were broken by Miss Mona Leyden at the* Auckland Swimming Centre’s championship carnival. Her time was smin. 46 2-ssec., lowering her own record by one second and Miss Edna- Davey’s Australian figures by 3 4-osecs.
