“No labour is too* great for the dkscovery of truth.” At last night’s meeting of the Paliiatua Racing Club Mr B. Draper was appointed clerk >1 the course, and Messrs R. G. Smith (Woodville) and G. G. Hill (Pahiatua) were elected members. Mr E. L ji'tt announced that he had been promised a £3 3s trophy (from an anonymous donor for the trainer of the winner of the Pahiatua Cup) at last night’s meeting of the Paliiatua Racing Club. Mr Lett also said that the canteen cf cutlery presented by Messrs John Dewar and Son for the winner of the Cup will be on view in Pahiatua well before the day of the meeting. At the meeting of farmers held in Pahiatua. yesterday for the purpose of forming a Rabbit Board reference was made to the formation of a Board in tin* Akitio county and someone asked whether this board had achieved much success.
