POLICE MAN-HUNT FAILS.
NEW YORK MURDERER ESCAPES.
(Received II a.m.) Lnited Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. NE \Y YORK. February 3.
After futile all-night search from cellar to roof, the police were compelled to abandon the hunt for the man who shot the watchman of the Wool wort h building. The arrival of tenants of the various offices at the opening hour of the building made a continuation of the search useless. How the assailant managed to escape from the structure which was closely guarded during the night is not explained.
