FOUR CONTESTANTS.
ROSS AND CROMARTY SEAT. (British Official Wireless.) R U GBY, Ja n uary 31. Four candidates were nominated to-day in the Ross and Cromarty byelection caused by the resignation of Sir lan Maepherson (now Lord Strathcarron), the Liberal National member, on account of ill-health. They were the Dominions Secretary, Mr Malcolm MacDonald, National Government; Mr Randolph Churchill, Conservative; Mr Hector McNeil, Labour; and Dr. W. S. Russel Thomas. Liberal. Polling takes place* on February 107' Polling which took place by post closed to-day in the Scottish Universities by-election, in which the Lord President of the Council. Mr Ramsay MacDonald, is the National Government candidate. The declaration will be made on Monday.
