KOHINUI PARTY.

(From Our Own CorresDondent.) A very enjoyable party was held at the residence ol Mr Seymour Hone* on Wednesday evening to celebrate the coming-of-age of Mr Henry Watson.

Many visitors from surrounding districts were present and the evening was spent in dancing, ping pong and cards. Two refutations were (loverly rendered by little Dorothy Hudson, of Palmerston North, and excellent music was played by Air S. Bone, Airs Howat (piano), Air Chapman (violin), Air Sargent (accordeon). After supper had been handed round, the beautifully-iced birthday cake with 21 candles was cut and Air Watson’s health was toasted with musical honours. Air Watson then responded briefly, thanking everyone for attending and hoping they had enjoyed themselves. An amusing parcel competition was held, which eventually went to the guest of the evening. Upon beiug opened the parcel was found to contain the traditional front door kev.

A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Aliss Af. Bor.stead and Jim Cotter, and a luck 7 spot waltz was won by Miss I. Hopkins and Hugh Howat. The guests departed reluctantly in the small hours of the morning. Among those present were Alesclames Howat,. Fulton, Hopkins, Bou stead, Dick, J.
