PAHIATUA LAWN TENNIS CLUB.
The first match for the Watson Buttons was played on the Pahiatua Lawn Tennis Club's courts Yesterday between J. G. Swainson end \Y Hail Watson (holders) and P A. Boagoy and G. Harvey, the last-named pair relieving the holders ot the buttons after i 9-—4 victory. A particularly fine singles ladder match was played between Swainson and Harvey- and was won hv the former (6 —4. 5—6 7—5) whose skill and anticipation countered the brilliancy and speed of hi s younger opponent.
