UNCHANGED WITH TIMES. Electric Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON. Last Night. “The Labour Government stands unchanged in its principles from those it stood lor 3l? years ago, and it is still the same advocate of Socialism, ” said the Minister of Mines, H on. P. C. Webb, during a g -yoception at Kilbirnie to-night to Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Public Works. “It is the times that have changed, not Labour's principles.” continued Mr Webb. ‘‘The Government represents the new thought in the world to-day and a new order of society. The public conscience of New Zealand rebelled .against the old order of things and Ha bou r was given a mandate to give expression to that awakened consciousness. The people bad played their part in the determination to give effect to the new order and it now remained for the Government to play its part.”
