YESTERDAY’S BOWLING GALA.
BOTH PAHIATUA RINKS WIN. The Pahiatua Howling Club sent two links to Woodville yesterday for the AXanawatu Bowling Centre's gala day at Woodville when sixteen rinks, representing the Palmerston, Alanawatu, Terrace End, Northern. Takaro, Feilding, Dannevirke, Eketahuna, Pahiatua and Woodville clubs, gathered for friendly competition. The weather was gloriously fine with a light breeze to temper the heat, rnd the green looked a picture, but was fast and true, and the pace had many of the players (Woodville ones included > guessing for quite a while, but the games were most enjoyable. The Pahiatua rinks performed very well and won both their games. Results are detailed below : Terrace End: Connor. Lock, Snell, Eckersley (s) 13 v.
