PAHIATUA SCHOOL.
MONTHLY MEETING
The usual monthly meeting of the Pahiatua District High School Committee was held last evening in the Trust and Agency office. There were present: Messrs G. Godfrey laylor (chairman), W. H. March, \Y . R. Richardson and P. J- Matthews. Apologies were received from Messrs W. J. Mills, T. Burr and E. Stevens, who are away from home. Accounts amounting to £ls Is 9d were passed for payment, the bank balance at 31st December being reported at £29 0s 6d. The chairman and Messrs March and Richardson had visited the school that day and found things well in order. The buildings had been re-painted and repaired and looked nice and fresh. The grounds and hedges had been attended to during the vacation. In the school gardens the convolvulus weed had got a great hold and would require a lot of pulling out when pupils reassembled.
Replying to a request by the committee for a giant towards renovation. of the assembly ground, the Minister of Education stated that he had asked the Education Board to report on the matter, when it would be given further consideration.
