DANNEVIRKE SHOW.

THE KENNEL CLUB'S EXHIBITION. ALTERATION IN ENTRY DATES. Held in conjunction with the Dan--11 evi ike A. and P. Society's Show, tiie Dannevirke Kennel Club’s annual exhibition is always an outstanding feature. It attracts entries from all over the Dominion and competition is usually keen. The schedule! on this occasion is unusually attractive and good prizes are to be won. The New Zealand Kennel Club will issue challenge certificates on a. points basis to the best entry of each sex of all recognised breeds. All breeds are catered for and in addition there are many special classes, including a champion of champions for all dogs and bitches that have duly qualified ; a terrier stakes, sporting dog stakes, non-sporting dog stakes,, toy dog stakes and novice stakes, -the lastmentioned open to all breeds that have not won a first prize in a show. There is a ladies’ bracelet event, grand p uppy stakes (open to all breeds). Handsome special prizes are allotted in many of the classes and in addition .there are four special cash prizes, competition for which is restricted to financial members of the club, and with other reservations. The schedule is too comprehensive to detail but all interested are advised ito make themselves conversant with its contents. Entries for the Kennel Club’s display close on Friday, January 31st, and should Ite made with the lion, secretary, Mr O. G. Ellis, 63 Barraud Street, Dannevirke, or with the secretary of the Dannevirke A. and P. Association . General entries for the A. and P. Show wore to close on Tuesday next, January 2K (with the exception of cooking) but owing to this being a day of mourning for the late King George it has been decided to extend the time of entry to January 31st, and to receive late entries, without the payment of additional •fee. up to February 3rd. The ram fair will bo . hqlcl on Thursday, February 13th, and entries for this close with the Associated Auctioneers to-day.
