Wellington, v.as drowned He went to Upper Hutt with a picnic party. Ii was noticed that he had disappeared and several members of the party dived in attempts to find him. Eater his body was dfsCGv'eretl at the bottom of the river in 30 feet of water and ai-tificial respiration was tried but failed.
