FRIENDLY SOCIETIES' PICNIC.
The Pabiatua United Friendly soc ietios’ pienc w hich wa; to have been held on Anniversary Day. and which was postponed owing to tin* passing of h.s Majesty the King, will be held in the Carnival Park oil Wednesday next, 29th inst.. commencing at 11 a. in. The committee extends ,a cordial invitation to the public to attc\nd this annual treat, fni the children, although no doubt many may not consider it worth while going to the Park just for the afteri oon, the ccinm.ittCe feel sure that those that do so will be well repaid by seeing the pleasure derived by tin* children from the day's events. Everything possible ha s been done to iiiY'i tin* day an enjoyable- one for all concerned, and the* various events will he run off with the minimum of time in between, as the committee have several extra events on the programme this year. The adult members c.f the community will bo well catered for at the dance to held * i the Foresters’ Hall in tin* evening, and all patrnis can be assured of a very enjoyable time.
