CINEMA CELEBRITY.
EX ROUTE TO SYDNEY. Electric Telegraph-—Press Association AUCKLAND, List Night. The passengers by the Monterey include Air Charles Farrell, the cinema celebrity. He is travelling from California to Sydney to act in file leading role of an Australian talkie production, “The Flying Doctor.” Air Farrell, who is six feet in height, is well-proportioned, and is oi a vital type. He is enthusiastic over the Australian venture, although he preferred not to discuss his terms of engagement. It is understood that his salary for eight weeks approximates 61000 (not Holla re) per week. He said that talking pictures involved much harder work and more study of the script than did silent films.
