OLD SETTLER’S PASSING.
FUNERAL OF AJ.R PETER LAWSON. The funeral of tile late Air Peter Lawson took place at the Pahiatua Cemetery yesterday afternoon, when a long line of cars followed the remains of a. man who was one of Pahiatua’s oldest and most highlyesteemed settlers., to their last resting place. Prior to the funeral procession Rev. 11 Wilson conducted a simple little service in St. Peter's Church, and later read the last rites at the graveside, which- was surrounded with beautiful floral tri. bates.
The pall bearers were Messrs. J, G. Brec-hin, ft. J. Sm.iT.fi. C. F .fensen, E. ,1. LJovd. .1. Brcsnahan and T. Vein .
