SEASON TICKETS TOO CHEAP.
Cr. SIDDELLS ON THE BATHS. The Pahiatua Borough Council was told last night, by Cr. S. K. Siddells that the admission charges made for the Swimming Baths were ridiculously cheap. The speaker also thought that if bath by-laws were to be framed the present scale of charges should, be revised. Cr. Brown: “Do you mean that the charges are too low? The Swimming dub went very carefully into that matter.” Cr. Siddells: “Yet. A season ticket in Wellington costs £1 and a man his wife and children of school age can all go to the Laths for a season for 7s 6d.” Cr. Alurch dfd not hold this view a.s it depended on the circumstances of the family, and lie pointed out that il the charges were pur. up the people always had the river to Till 1 back on.
