PAHIATUA CYCLING CLUB.

ARRANGEMENTS FI NALISED. A meeting of the general committee of the Pahiatua Amateur Cycling Club was held in the Cosy tearooms last night. Tht president, Mr A. E. South, presided and also present were Messrs Franklyn, Budden, the secretary (Mr Ron Millar) and the treasurer (Air R. L. Darley). It was decided that the first race, to be held on Wednesday, 12th June, be from opposite the Post Office Hotel to the Konini factory and back. The race is to start at 2.30 p.m. and entries close with the secretary at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Bth J une.

It was agreed to hold three races for the first trophy and points on each race to count six for first, five for second, down to one for sixth, the rider with the largest number of points to be the winner. The prizes for this series were fixed at a trophy valued at 15s for first and a trophy valued at lOs for second.

The second race for the series, to he held on Saturday, 22nd June, is to start from Mangahao Road corner through Mangamutu to Mangamaire, thence out to the main road, back to the Post Office Hotel. The third race, to be held on Wednesday, 3rd July, is to start from the Herald Office and is to be to Woodville and back.

A trophy is to be obtained to be competed for throughout the season, points to count as in other races

(biix for first, etc.). Quotations and recommendations are to be obtained for a suitable trophy. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to Mr South for the use of his tearooms.
