A meeting of St. Paul's flower show committee will be held at Airs A. East's residence to-morrow (Fr - day) ©veiling when the financial statement in connection with the flower show held last week will be submitted.
The county engineer, Air H. Y. Bond, informed the Manawatu County Council at its meeting hetd on Tuesday last that the contractors for th-3 reconstruction of the first five miles of the Himatungi-Sansoa highway, Messrs Stevenson ana Sons, had advised him that they would coiimcnce assembling the r plant at Sanson on Alonday next and stated that the eontraotors intended proceeding with the work as soon as their plant had been assembled.
