HUSH-HUSH CRICKETERS.
NO ST.-VnOIKNTS MARE. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copvnght. LONDON. April 4. The Daily Express’ special cricket correspondent, Air Trevor Wignall. at Colombo, says:—"A most pronounced team of hush-hush cricketers landed this morning. They are a silent sixteen, almost afraid to answer queries addressed bv local guides. Mr I lush by told me he had nothing to say. and Messrs ili.ili and Jeans were similarly unwilling to discuss controversies. The players want to be friendly, but are barriered and wrapped in cotton-wool. The only ‘don't care’ person is Oldfield, though He received me with a finger on his lips. “Cricivet is reduced by these young fellows to a positively pathetic state. There is an amazing change >u Bradman. He is obviously in indifferent health, and looks 20 years older than his age He consulted a doctor before Ik* smoked .* cigarette. Bradman will have to be much healthier before he can play m the Tests. The team is desperately anxious to make go-od and be nice fellows. T fancy the i ie,\f men England will need to watch will"-be Bromley, Brown . Chipperfiold. and O’Reilly. The Australians are certain there will be no fa-t Jeg theory on. the tour.”
