FOOTBALL SEASON.
MAXGAT \TXOKA CLUJ*. The annual meeting of the above Club was held in the Library Hall, Air W. H. Stainton being in the chair. There was a satisfactory attendance of players and supporters Commenting on the report of last season’s activities the chairman congratulated the club's senior team on winning the Cowan Cup and also commended the junior team for its very creditable performances against older and heavier teams.
The, balance-sheet showed a credit of £!() 7s 2d. thus tlie club w ill commence the new season in a sound financial position. A.n honorarium of two, guineas was voted the secretary, Mb A. Subseript ions for the comin,/ season were fixed at 2 s 6d for senior and Is for junior members. ft was dec id eel to nominate one senior and one third-grade* team in the Push Union competitions. * A working bee was arranged for Sunday week at 10 a.m.. and practice night was fixed for Tuesday of each week commencing on the 17th inst. A practice match with Woodvillo was arranged for Saturday , 14th inst. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr E. L. Harvev ; President Mr E. H. Lett; vice-pre-sidents. the same as last year, also Dr. Dawson; secretary and treasurer, Mr A. McPherson ; delegates. Messrs E. H. Lett, A Small and A. Walker; selector’s Air E. H. Lett, senior, and F. J. Staples, third, grade ; efuh captain. A. Walker; committee. B. Harvey. A. Small, K. S'harplm, L. AngcJini. H. Gemmed, E. Harvey and ex officio members; coaches, B. Harvey and W. H. Stainton. The following new members were elected: F. Anderson. S Olliver H. Edkins. H. (lemmcll. R. B Nutting, FI. Bengston. R. Smith.
