KNOCKED INTO RIVER.
LABOURER DROWNED. Electric Telegraph—Press Association WANGANUI, February 8. J. Roy Blake. aged about 40. working on the road near Mangaweka, -was struck on the bead by a piece of papa clay in a fall of rock, was knocked into the Rangitikei River, and drowned. Lon Moyle, a workmate, divea into tho flooded river, but was unable to recover the body.
