£IOO,OOO IN BOXES. INCIDENT AT CHRISTCHURCH. Electric Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH. This Hay. An armed police guard was on duty at the C h ristch lire'll. railway station last evening when £IOO,OOO in silver was taken from the express and deposited in vans for transportation to the Bank of New Zealand vaults where it will await shipment to the Roya.l Mint, London, probably by the Zealandic. The silver made up of an ola issue of English half-crowns collected from Invercargill and up the line to Christchurch. There were over TOO boxes in all.
