MOTOR ACCIDENT.

A s the ros ii 11 of set ere in j uri es received in a motor car accident at the West shore 1 extension at about C. 45 p.ni. on Thursday night, Edward Johnston, orf Hukamii (Pahiatua), was admitted to the* Napier Hospital in a critical condition. Mr L. \\ right. J.P., of Westshore, was driving home from Napier, a .nd while in the act of tinning into his gateway lie was overtaken by a car driven by Mr Charles Gardiner, of 21 May Avenue, Napier. A severe impact occurred, and Mr Gardiner’s car somersaulted twice before coming to iest- a considerable distance further along; the road. Air Johnston, who was a passenger in tliis car, suffered severe head injuries, and was removed, bv am* butanee to the Napier Hospital.
