CHECKED IN TIME
OUTBREAK OF FIRE. Electric Telegraph—Press Association GISBORNE, This Day. An attempt was made last night to burn down the S. and E. Cash Stores, Gladstone Road. The fire was discovered by the night-watchman in a storeroom at. the back of the premises, a hole having been knocked in the window through. which matches had been thrown into inflammable material. The brigade suppressed the fire before much damage was done.
