BOISTEROUS WEATHER

A TOUCH OF WINTER. Unpleasant weatlier conditions have prevailed throughout the Wairarapa since late on Tuesday night. As a direct contrast to the \ory hot weather experienced for several weeks past the conditions on Wednesday night and again on Thursday were nnusiiallv cold for this time of the year. Yesterday morning there was a light coating of snow on the higher peaks in tbe Tarncua range, which is an unusual occurrence for midsummer, particularly after such a. mild spring. A high wind which had been blowing throughout the district for several days past dropped on Wednesday night, to the relief of gardeners.
