EIGHTH ANNUAL GATHERING. Electric Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND. December 28. One of the courses of stu-ly at the YVorkors’ Educational Association's eighth annual summer school, which opened yesterday at Wesley College, Paerata, is entitled “From LaissezFaire to Planned Economy.” The aim of the course is to discuss the fundamental causes of the present economic position and the steps which are being taken in Great Britain, America, and other important countries to build an economic organisation which shall be proof against similar situations in the future. The lecturers will be Messrs J L. J. Wilson and N. M. Richmond. Other courses of study are to be “The French Revolution.” “Modern. Trend in Psychology.” and “Modem British Composers.” Sixty-fiv? members cro attending the school, which takes the form of a- camp in t-lie college buildings. The members are from Wellington and many parts the Auckland Province. Mr JV. K. Cooker is camp director. During the day, recreation will take the form of cricket. tennis, rambles over the college farm, and excursions to places of interest in the vurrminding districts, while the evenings will be devoted to musical programme s. The so.h'wd will continue for won day*, members breaking camp on January 3.
