(Exchange.! Don’t stop my paper, printer, Keep my advt. m yet, You know that timee are stringent, And money hard to get. But tug a little harOer Is what I mean to do, And scrape bawbees together Enough to see us through. 1 can’t afford to drop it; I know it doesn’t pay To do without an ad. and paper, However others may. I hate to ask my neighbours To give me theirs on loan; They do not say, but mean it, “Why don’t you have your own?” I can’t tell what I’m losing, If by some decree of Fate, It should not happen to reach me, Or if my ad. is dropped from date. Then all is in a hubbub, And things go all awry, And Mr Printer, if you’re married., You know the reason why. I cannot do without them, It is little use to try, For other people can keep going, And Mr Printer, so most I. The paper keeps me posted With local newß and views And I would feel disloyal If I did not it peruse. Then take it kindly, printer, If pay be somewhat slow, For cash is not so plenty And wants not few yon know.
