CAMP FOR YOUTHS. Electric Telegraph—Press Association WANGANUI, September 1. The youths’ afforestation camp was conceived and sponsored by the Wanganui District Development League m co-operation with other local bodies, with a view to providing reproductive work for boys. A splendid site has been obtained at Kaitoke, about four miles from Wanganui, and there an area q£ 900 acres is available to work upon, being chiefly sand-dune country. All foodstuffs and camp equipment have been procured on co-operative lines. The youths are to be paid 3s per week pocket money, and each receives a chit for the balance each week.
