HAMMOND’S HUGE TOTAL. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copy r i ght. LONDON, September 3. In the course of a great innings at Folkestone, Hammond became the first batsman in 1933, to exceed 3,000 runs, which is also his highest aggregate. It is a testimony to the remarkably fine season, abounding in fast wickets and outfields. Fourteen others have already exceeded the 2,000 mark.
