THE LATE MRS. J. AVERY.

The funeral took placed on Saturday afternoon of the late Mrs -Jana Avery, of Wanganui, and formerly oi Pahiatua. The mortal remains were conveyed from the residence at Wanganui direct to tin* cemetery at Mangatainoka, where a large number of old friends were in attendance. Rev. V. A. Bianehi' (St. Peter's Anglican) conducted the service at the graveside. The pall-hearers were Messrs A. G. Cross (Wanganui). J. G. Swamsnn Norman Avery, J. Shekleton. S. V. Rodney and C. E. The friends of the late Mrs Alice Harland attended in large numbers the funeral which took place yesterday afternoon. Tiie service at the residence in Sedcole Street and also at the graveside was conducted by Rev. K. L Warren (St. Paul's'Preshyterianl. The pall-bearers were Messrs R. J. Smith. K. G. Smith. S. K Siddells. E. Li Harvey. F. Brit la ml and A. C. Paget. Among the many beautiful floral tributes were wreaths fi'dm the P.W.M.U., Session, Board of Managers and members oi Sr. Paul’s Presbyterian Church. Bush Rugby Union. Women’s Christian Temperance Union and Athletic- Football Club.
