STABBING AFFAIR.

TWO RESIDENTS OF ONEHUNGA Electric Telegrapn—Press Association AUCKLAND, Last Night. Two people were stabbed lollowing a party at a house at Onehunga shortly after 10 o clock last night, and the police are searching for a middle-aged foreigner who is alleged to have attacked and injured the persons. The victims are Mrs Louisa Annie Thompson, aged 39, ot Selwyn Street, Onehuuga, who received a stab in the left breast and was taken to the Auckland hospital in a critical condition, but wa, no longer considered serious this atternoon: and Roy Johnston, of Queen Street. Onehunga, a second-hand dealer, who was stabbed twice in the hack. He was attended bv a doctor and taken to his home . The foreigner, whose name' is unknown, met- Johnson in the bar of an hotel late on Saturday alternoon and the two men had dinner at Johnston’s home later with Mrs jJohuston and J. Wilson, who lives with the family. They went to the house for a party. As the visitors were leaving, it is alleged that the foreigner struck Wilson in the eye Hater, as they were walking home, Johnson approached the foreigner and immediatel v collapsed, stabbed twice. Mrs Thompson, who interfered, was also stabbed. In the confusion the man escaped . The police were informed, bit a thorough search of the district has failed to reveal the suspect.
