DRUIDS' ORDER.

The usual fortnightly meeting of the Druids’ Lodge was held on Thursday when Bro. G. Braggir.s presided over a good attendance Sick pay and routine quarterly accounts were passed for payment. A report was received on the recent Foresters’ Dance and the Druids’ delegate was loud in his praise of the hospitality received The Oddfellows. who'won the McEwen Shield in the F.S. card tournament, were complimented. The installation of Bros. W Bailey and H Fisher, jr., was carried out by the P.D.P., Bro. H. Fisher, in a very efficient manner. The usual vote of thanks followed. The lodge then adjouri ed for a social gathering, a most enjovahle time being spent. The function terminated about 1 am. with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne” The social was voted an outstanding success from all viewpoints Visitors were present from Palmerston North and Dannevirke. An apology vas received from Mvrtl-- Lod-u-Eketahuna. The T.P.G.P.. Bro. F. Jackson, gave a most interesting address ~n Diuidism. special mention beuig made of the various funds, and in conclusion he strongly appealed to the local ladies to join the rar.ks of Druidism. particularly from a social point of view . It would be well for ladies who intend joining to obtain particulars from any- of "the officers regarding initiation fee and quarterly- dues.
