BASKETBALL DANCE.
A very large crowd gathered at the Foresters’ Hal! on Saturday night to a dance held to entertain the visiting team from Masterton. The music was played by Mr Peter Jackson and extras were rendered by Miss M. Hirst and Mr E. Hirst, which were greatly appreciated. The dancing was controlled by Mr Alex. Mills who made a very efficient M.C. Dancing was indulged in till 12 o' cl >ck alter v.thich a delirious supper was handed round. The secretary for the “Stars ’ thanked the Association for giving them such an enjoyable entertainment, adding that in view of being so badly beaten they wished to come again when, they hoped to reverse the scores. A very jolly evening was brought to a close with the singing of “For they are jolly good fellows,” and the National Anthem.
