The death occurred in the Kawakawa hospital of a seven-year-old boy, W. Willcock, who was admitted suffering from sleeping sickness. As an indication of the early spring which has been experienced in some parts of the Wairar pa. tin ne is a plum tree in one Eketahiina orchard which is at present in full bloom. At the Sydney Stadium Tarleton outpointed Kelso in 1.5 louuds.
