GANDHI IN HOSPITAL.
FORCIBLE FEEDING NOT INTENDED. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—-Copyright RUGBY, August 21. Gandhi is at Sassoon hospital, Poona. He was removed there yesterday from YervacWr prison because of its better medical facilities. His strength has decreased and his weight is now only 951 b. but he insists on continuing his fast, despite the desire of the authorities and friends that he should continue to live and devote himself to the cause of the Untouchables and other work of social reform. It was stated in tiie Bombay Legislative Council to-day that two friends, in addition to his wife, will be allowed to visit Gandhi daily. It- is not intended employ forcible feeding. Private doctors will be permitted to treat Gandhi if he should so desire.
